UAP Community School Director Alejandro Alvarez was awarded the Shine A Light award in January 2018 by the NYC Office of Community Schools. The award recognizes Alejandro’s work at IS 528 where he is improving attendance and helping create an inspired and engaging learning environment for middle school students in Washington Heights.
